Cookie Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 20, 2026

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They allow a site to remember your actions and preferences — such as whether you are logged in — across page loads and sessions.

How PearlAudit Uses Cookies

PearlAudit uses cookies exclusively to operate user authentication. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie set by PearlAudit is used to build a profile of your interests or to share data with advertising networks.

Authentication is operated by a trusted service provider under contract, acting on our behalf. The cookies described below are set under the PearlAudit domain solely to keep you securely signed in; they are not shared for advertising or analytics.

All cookies set on pearlaudit.comare “strictly necessary” under GDPR and UK GDPR definitions — they are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled without breaking your session. Because they are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested (signing in), they are set without requiring prior consent. For how we handle the rest of your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

What We Do Not Use

PearlAudit does not set or permit any of the following:

  • Analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar, or any equivalent third-party analytics service
  • Advertising cookies — we do not use Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any ad retargeting or conversion tracking scripts
  • Social media cookies — no embedded social widgets or share buttons that set third-party cookies
  • Fingerprinting or supercookies — we do not use browser fingerprinting, localStorage tracking, or any technique designed to identify you across sessions beyond your logged-in session

Managing Cookies

Because all cookies we set are strictly necessary for authentication, blocking them will prevent you from signing in to PearlAudit. You can clear these cookies at any time by signing out — this will end your session and remove the associated cookies from your browser.

You can also clear cookies manually from your browser settings:

  • Chrome— Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
  • Firefox— Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
  • Safari— Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge— Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data

On mobile browsers, you can clear cookies from the browser app’s privacy or history settings. If you cannot locate the option, signing out of PearlAudit will remove all cookies we set.

Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies — for example, if we add a product analytics layer in the future — we will update this policy and notify users by email before those cookies are set. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
